Registered Nurse - PACU in Trussville, AL

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing for a contract assignment. This position is ideal for professionals skilled in providing critical post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Proven experience in PACU or critical care nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills
• Proficient with post-anesthesia procedures and pain management
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented settings
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Closely monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia after surgery or procedures
• Assess vital signs, level of consciousness, and pain to ensure patient safety
• Administer medications and post-operative interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and anesthesia teams to address any patient complications or concerns
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery processes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records
• Maintain strict infection control and patient safety protocols

$1,935 - $2,040/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
