Working within a bustling academic medical center boasting 885 licensed beds and Level 1 Trauma designation, you’ll collaborate with some of healthcare’s best minds. Exposure to advanced protocols, academic initiatives, and innovative leadership approaches will elevate your clinical acumen and expand your professional network. Experience a fast-paced, 20-bay unit with a patient census of 30–40, serving a diverse pediatric population (ages 0–17, plus occasional adults) in pre- and post-operative settings across most surgical specialties.
Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure required.
- At least 1 year of critical care pediatric experience required (2 years preferred).
- Must have completed at least one travel assignment.
- BLS and PALS certifications required.
- Proficiency in managing ICU-level medications (e.g., heparin, insulin drips), telemetry monitoring, and working in an open bay unit as part of a collaborative team.
- Competence in EPIC EMR, Alaris IV systems, Omnicell meds, and Philips monitors.
- Strong problem-solving skills, team spirit, and adaptability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia care for pediatric—and occasionally adult—patients.
- Monitor post-op recovery, respond to changing acuity (typically 1:1 or 1:2 ratios).
- Collaborate closely with transporters, a PACU educator, 24/7 anesthesia support, and unit management.
- Uphold stringent documentation using EPIC and administer medications via Alaris/Omnicell.
