Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Active, unencumbered RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year recent PACU experience preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of anesthesia recovery, pain management, and vital sign monitoring.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia, assessing airway, circulation, and neurological status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, safe care.
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes promptly and accurately.
- Provide clear education and support to patients and their families throughout the recovery process.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in alignment with healthcare protocols.
