Take your nursing expertise to the next level as a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs with a focus on post-operative patient care and a commitment to supporting patients through the critical recovery phase following surgical procedures.

Qualifications & Desired Skills:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent PACU experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of anesthesia recovery, pain management, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients' recovery from anesthesia, assessing airway, circulation, and neurological status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, safe care.
  • Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes promptly and accurately.
  • Provide clear education and support to patients and their families throughout the recovery process.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in alignment with healthcare protocols.
