Through hands-on experience in a diverse pediatric OR environment, you’ll refine your clinical skills while expanding your résumé with knowledge in advanced specialties and EMR systems. Exposure to distinct protocols and multidisciplinary teamwork will broaden your perspective and deepen your impact within the nursing profession.

Schedule/Hours

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Variable weekend and weekday rotations
  • No call required

Qualifications

  • Active RN license; current BLS and PALS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience (pediatric OR strongly preferred)
  • Documented travel nursing background
  • EMR proficiency required—EPIC experience a must
  • Must be able to provide two recent OR Supervisor/Manager references
  • Current skills checklist matching specialty
  • Experience required: Neuro, Ortho, ENT, General, Eyes (Office surgery not applicable)
  • Ability to scrub preferred, but not mandatory
  • RTO must be specified at time of submission
  • Facility is nicotine-free (screening required)
  • Flu vaccination is required—no exceptions or declinations accepted

Key Responsibilities

  • Circulate and/or scrub for pediatric surgical cases in multiple specialties
  • Ensure safe, effective, family-centered care in a high-acuity setting
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams while adapting to institutional policies
  • Accurately document patient information in EPIC
