As a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Oncology/Hematology (RN – PEDS), you’ll play a vital part in providing exceptional care for children facing acute and chronic health challenges within a top-tier teaching hospital, designated as both a Level 1 Trauma Center and Chest Pain/Stroke Center. Working here means developing your skills with cutting-edge technology, robust support structures, and close-knit clinical teams. Schedule/Hours:

  • Shifts: 7a–7p
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • No on-call requirement
  • Holiday schedule: 75% of holidays
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Desired Experience & Licensure:

  • At least 1 year in pediatric hem/oncology in acute care
  • BLS required; PALS preferred
  • APHON chemo certification required
  • Strong pediatric assessment, critical thinking, central line management, and chemotherapy administration
  • Open to first-time travelers with strong pediatric backgrounds

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, compassionate care to children with oncology, hematology and general adolescent medicine needs
  • Manage pediatric patients (ratios 1:3–4 in hem/onc, 1:4–5 in adolescent medicine)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, and resource nurses
  • Utilize Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing
