Pediatric Registered Nurse - Pediatrics (RN) in Painted Post, NY

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year of experience in a pediatric nursing setting
• Proficiency in pediatric assessment, medication administration, and family education
• Current BLS certification (PALS certification preferred)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents
• Monitor, assess, and record vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and unit protocols
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance, discharge planning, and disease management
• Collaborate with providers, therapists, and other nurses to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow established protocols
• Adhere to infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements
