Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- At least one year of recent experience in pediatric nursing (RN-PEDS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide patient-centered care
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond efficiently in urgent situations
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform age-appropriate assessments and administer medications/treatments as ordered
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in pediatric patients’ conditions
- Provide education and emotional support to children and their families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Ensure a safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies and other safety protocols
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required
