Pediatric Registered Nurse - Pediatrics - Waverly, New York

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, unencumbered RN license
• At least one year of recent experience in pediatric nursing (RN-PEDS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide patient-centered care
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to respond efficiently in urgent situations
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform age-appropriate assessments and administer medications/treatments as ordered
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in pediatric patients’ conditions
• Provide education and emotional support to children and their families
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
• Ensure a safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control policies and other safety protocols
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required
