This Level II Trauma Pediatric ICU features 15 beds and a dedicated staff of 38, ensuring a supportive setting and a strong focus on quality patient care. With day and night shifts staffed by intensivists, RNs, respiratory therapists, and case management, you’ll work with a 2:1 patient ratio, providing valuable one-on-one care. Exposure to Meditech/CPN EMR systems, cutting-edge monitoring equipment, and diverse case complexities will expand your nursing skillset.
Diverse scheduling ensures both stability and the ability to explore Kansas’s cultural landmarks, outdoor adventures, and delicious cuisine during your downtime. - 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PICU RN experience
- Current BLS & PALS certifications (required)
- CRRT experience, APHON certification, or previous work in a pediatric teaching hospital (preferred)
- Adaptability, poise under pressure, and a strong patient care philosophy
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level critical care to pediatric patients in a Level II Trauma environment
- Perform procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
- Collaborate closely with intensivists, multidisciplinary teams, and families
