Travel Registered Nurse - PICU | Andover, Kansas

As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), you’ll work in a modern, Level II Trauma facility featuring 15 PICU beds and innovative equipment such as General CR Monitoring. This assignment places you at the heart of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, exposing you to diverse workflows and leadership styles while collaborating closely with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and other specialized professionals. With a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, you’ll deepen your pediatric clinical skills and expand your resume in a teaching hospital recognized for its commitment to excellence and ongoing staff development.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7P – 7A shifts

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver direct care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Initiate IVs, perform blood draws, and assist with TPT placements
• Monitor patients using advanced technology and Meditech/CPN EMR systems
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams, including case management and dietary staff
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients and families

Ideal Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of current acute care PICU experience
• Current BLS & PALS certifications
• Ability to excel in high-pressure and teaching hospital settings
• Preferred: CRRT experience, APHON certification, or background in pediatric teaching hospitals
