An excellent opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience. This contract position is ideal for skilled professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients requiring critical support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of one year of recent PICU nursing experience
  • Proficient in pediatric critical care, specialized equipment, and monitoring
  • BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced, high-acuity environments

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill children in the PICU setting
  • Monitor and assess vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications, IVs, and other interventions as prescribed
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
  • Educate and support families during often stressful hospitalizations
  • Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and comply with care protocols
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards
