A leading hospital in Southern Idaho is seeking experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurses for a 13-week contract assignment. This role involves delivering high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
Required Schedule:
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Qualifications:
- Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year experience in a PICU setting
- BLS and PALS certifications (current and approved)
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in critical care environments
- Excellent communication, assessment, and clinical skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered nursing care to children with complex, acute, and chronic health conditions
- Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to interventions and treatments
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the wider healthcare team to coordinate personalized care plans
- Educate and support families during all phases of care
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and rapidly changing patient conditions
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all hospital standards, policies, and practices
