Seeking a skilled pediatric intensive care nurse for an engaging contract opportunity supporting a top-tier hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) department. This role involves providing compassionate, evidence-based care to critically ill children in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting. Schedule:

  • 13-week contract

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications
  • Proficiency in pediatric critical care interventions and monitoring
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with pediatric specialists, physicians, and families
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients
  • Monitor and interpret vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient status
  • Administer medications, therapies, and interventions as prescribed
  • Educate and support young patients and their families throughout the treatment process
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record
