Registered Nurse - PICU (RN) in Caldwell, ID

A hospital in southern Idaho is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with specialized expertise in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) for a 13-week assignment. This opportunity offers the chance to deliver exceptional care to critically ill pediatric patients while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU experience
• BLS and PALS certifications required (ACLS preferred)
• Familiarity with pediatric trauma, sedation protocols, and ventilator management
• Ability to effectively respond to emergencies and provide family-centered care
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a PICU setting
• Assess, monitor, and document changes in patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and families, to develop and implement personalized care plans
• Educate and support families throughout the patient’s stay
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital policies and best practices
