A hospital in southern Idaho is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with specialized expertise in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) for a 13-week assignment. This opportunity offers the chance to deliver exceptional care to critically ill pediatric patients while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU experience
- BLS and PALS certifications required (ACLS preferred)
- Familiarity with pediatric trauma, sedation protocols, and ventilator management
- Ability to effectively respond to emergencies and provide family-centered care
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a PICU setting
- Assess, monitor, and document changes in patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and families, to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Educate and support families throughout the patient’s stay
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital policies and best practices
