Registered Nurse - PICU | Cary, North Carolina

Start an impactful nursing assignment in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team caring for critically ill children. Multiple positions are available for registered nurses seeking valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment over a 13-week contract.

Schedule Options:

• 4x12-hour shifts (Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Flexible options for 3x12 or 4x12-hour shifts
• Both day and night shift opportunities available

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license for NC or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
• Willingness to work within a team-oriented environment and adapt to evolving patient needs
• Open to first-time travelers and local candidates (within 75 miles)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver critical nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting
• Monitor, assess, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate families and provide emotional support during challenging situations
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to established protocols
