Registered Nurse - PICU (RN) - Chapel Hill, NC

Experienced Registered Nurses with a background in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) are invited to take on a rewarding contract assignment providing high-quality care to pediatric patients. Multiple positions are available, offering a dynamic environment for passionate professionals ready to make a difference.

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible options: 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts
• Day shifts: 07:00 – 19:30
• Night shifts: 19:00 – 07:30
• Both day and night shifts available

Assignment Details:

• 13-week duration
• Start date: 9/21/26

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact states
• Minimum 1 year of recent PICU nursing experience
• Current certifications in BLS and PALS
• Will consider first-time travelers
• Local and travel candidates both welcome (within 75 miles considered local)

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill infants and children in the PICU
• Continuously monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and document care
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, supporting physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Administer prescribed medications, therapies, and treatments with attention to safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families, offering education and emotional support
• Strictly adhere to infection control, privacy regulations, and hospital standards

$2,025 - $2,203/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
