Stepping into the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at this central Kansas medical center means joining a collaborative environment in a Level II Trauma facility. This role is designed for registered nurses passionate about pediatrics and eager to expand their clinical expertise. You’ll be exposed to a variety of cases, new technologies, and best practices, sharpening your skills in a teaching hospital setting with both seasoned professionals and cutting-edge equipment.

Schedule/Hours

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1-year recent acute care PICU experience
• Valid BLS and PALS certifications
• Experience in high-pressure, teaching hospital environments
• Strong patient care background

Preferred:

• Experience with CRRT and APHON
• Pediatric teaching hospital background

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care for critically ill pediatric patients
• Perform IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• Collaborate with intensivists, RTs, desk techs, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Uphold high standards of patient safety and documentation using Meditech/CPN EMR
