Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Ability to assess, monitor, and intervene in critical situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with a variety of PICU equipment and electronic medical records
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in pediatric nursing care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients in the intensive care setting
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Administer medications and therapies, and perform routine and emergency procedures
- Educate patients’ families regarding care plans, progress, and support resources
- Accurately document clinical information and maintain up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals as part of an integrated care approach
- Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection control standards
