Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Ability to assess, monitor, and intervene in critical situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of PICU equipment and electronic medical records
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in pediatric nursing care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver attentive, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric patients in the intensive care setting
  • Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Administer medications and therapies, and perform routine and emergency procedures
  • Educate patients’ families regarding care plans, progress, and support resources
  • Accurately document clinical information and maintain up-to-date patient records
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals as part of an integrated care approach
  • Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and infection control standards
