As an RN with experience in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), you’ll play an essential role supporting young patients and their families, applying advanced clinical skills to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Experience working in a PICU environment
- Proficient in pediatric critical care standards, protocols, and equipment
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
- Dedicated to providing developmentally appropriate, family-centered care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, evidence-based care to critically ill pediatric patients
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and adjust interventions as needed
- Assist in emergency situations, responding rapidly and effectively
- Educate and support patients and families regarding conditions and treatments
- Document patient status and care interventions thoroughly and accurately
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in the PICU
