Registered Nurse - PICU | Kansas City, Kansas

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both PICU and PCU settings
• Advanced knowledge of patient monitoring, ventilator management, and assessment in critical care environments
• BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Attention to detail, time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts, with nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to children and adults in both PICU and PCU units
• Perform thorough patient assessments, develop and modify individualized care plans
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapy according to established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education regarding conditions, treatment, and recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to established safety and infection control standards
