Registered Nurse - PICU (RN) in Lakeville, MN

Take on a rewarding opportunity caring for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in a supportive, collaborative environment. This contract position requires RNs with strong PICU or CVICU backgrounds, ready to bring expert, compassionate care across multiple facilities as needed.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time positions, with options for 0.9 FTE (3 x 12-hr shifts/week, 36 hrs) and 1.2 FTE (4 x 12-hr shifts/week, 48 hrs)
• Shifts available: straight days, straight nights, or rotating
• 12-hour shifts (7:00a-7:30p or 7:00p-7:30a)
• Every other weekend
• No on-call duties
• 12-week assignment (10/19/2026 - 01/10/2027)

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active MN RN license or MN Temporary Permit-RN
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 18 months PICU nursing experience, including care for pre- and post-operative surgical patients and trauma patients; or 18 months pediatric CVICU experience, including competence in caring for pre- and post-operative cardiac surgical and procedural patients
• Confidence and flexibility to float between multiple hospital locations as needed
• Commitment to delivering family-centered care in a dynamic, high-acuity setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and provide family-focused care utilizing the nursing process for pediatric patients in the PICU
• Deliver independent nursing functions and collaborate efficiently with interdisciplinary teams
• Accurately document all care and interventions
• Engage with families to provide education, reassurance, and support throughout hospitalization
• Adhere to all professional standards and facility protocols

• Uniform: Royal blue scrub bottoms with kid-friendly shirts or scrub tops
