An exciting travel contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care (RN-PICU). Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PICU experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication abilities for working with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic pediatric critical care environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate specialized equipment according to pediatric protocols
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses within electronic medical records
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to families facing challenging medical situations
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment that supports the physical and emotional needs of children
