A prominent hospital in Southern Idaho seeks experienced Registered Nurses with a background in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) for a 13-week contract assignment. Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license (must be in good standing)
- Demonstrated proficiency in PICU nursing, including pediatric critical care assessment and intervention
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Previous experience working in a hospital PICU unit required
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients, monitoring vital signs and managing medication administration
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and multi-disciplinary hospital staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Educate and support patients’ families, providing clear updates and guidance during care
- Ensure safe and timely documentation of all care provided according to hospital protocols
- Participate in emergent situations including code response, rapid assessments, and stabilization procedures
Schedule & Hours:
- 13-week contract assignment
