Registered Nurse - PICU (RN) in Minneapolis, MN

Step into an impactful nursing role dedicated to providing expert care for children and families in a dynamic, supportive environment. Six opportunities are available for compassionate professionals to support pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) across leading area hospitals. This contract role is set for a 12-week engagement from October 19, 2026, through January 10, 2027.

Schedule & Hours:

• Options for full-time roles: 0.9 FTE (three 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours) and 1.2 FTE (four 12-hour shifts per week, 48 hours)
• Choice of straight day, straight night, or rotating shifts (7:00 am – 7:30 pm or 7:00 pm – 7:30 am)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call shifts

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Active MN RN license or MN Temp Permit-RN
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 18 months of PICU experience (including care for pre- and post-operative surgical and trauma patients), or 18 months of pediatric CVICU experience
• Proficiency in caring for pre- and post-cardiac surgical and procedural pediatric patients
• Flexibility to float between three hospital locations as needed
• Friendly, professional demeanor with dedication to pediatric care

• Coordinate care plans using the nursing process

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to achieve the best patient outcomes

$2,967 - $3,128/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
