Registered Nurse - PICU (RN) in Morrisville, NC

Exciting opportunities are available for Registered Nurses specialized in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) care to provide compassionate and skilled support to young patients and their families. Multiple positions are open with flexible scheduling to best match your needs and career goals.

Schedule Options:

• Day Shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 07:00 – 19:30
• Night Shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00 – 07:30
• Flexibility to work either 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts
• 13-week contract

Qualifications:

• Active NC RN license or Multistate Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in a PICU setting
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking, particularly in high-acuity pediatric situations
• Approachable and effective communication skills with children, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Willingness to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments
• Open to both first-time travelers and local candidates (within 75 miles)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients in the ICU
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Offer emotional support and education for patients’ families
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies
