Take your Pediatric Intensive Care skills to the next level by providing specialized nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a critical impact on pediatric patients and their families over a 13-week assignment.

Key Details:

  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) focus

Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent PICU nursing experience preferred
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and pediatric patient care skills
  • Experience with ventilators, central lines, and advanced pediatric interventions is highly desired
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new clinical environments and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in the intensive care unit
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status and response to interventions
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications, manage advanced life support equipment, and participate in medical emergencies
  • Engage with and educate families, providing support and updates throughout the child’s stay
  • Maintain meticulous records and ensure compliance with all hospital protocols and safety standards
