Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurses are needed for a 13-week specialized assignment in a hospital setting in Southern Idaho. Qualifications:
- Current RN license valid in Idaho or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PICU experience required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills specific to pediatric patients
- Current BLS and PALS certifications (AHA preferred)
- Proficient in pediatric ventilator care, central lines, and emergency protocols
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing situations
Schedule:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans collaboratively
- Record patient vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex medical equipment
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Offer emotional support to patients’ families and participate in patient/family education
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation according to hospital standards
