Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in PICU and/or PCU settings
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-stress, rapidly changing environments
- Proficient in electronic health record documentation
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and adult patients in the PICU and PCU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, promptly communicating any changes
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments with attention to safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other allied health professionals as part of the interdisciplinary care plan
- Offer emotional support and clear educational communication to patients and their families
- Participate in care planning, discharge processes, and ongoing patient and family education
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for all
