Registered Nurse - PICU (RN) - Overland Park, KS

Step into a vital nursing role, providing compassionate care to pediatric and adult patients in both the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and active RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in PICU and/or PCU settings
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in high-stress, rapidly changing environments
• Proficient in electronic health record documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and adult patients in the PICU and PCU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, promptly communicating any changes
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with attention to safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other allied health professionals as part of the interdisciplinary care plan
• Offer emotional support and clear educational communication to patients and their families
• Participate in care planning, discharge processes, and ongoing patient and family education
