Registered Nurse - PICU | Saint Paul, Minnesota

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing specialized care for pediatric patients in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role involves working across multiple hospital units focused on Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU and CVICU), with the expectation that nurses are flexible and able to float between three hospital locations as needed.

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week) or four 12-hour shifts (48 hours/week) available
• Shifts: Days (7:00am–7:30pm), Nights (7:00pm–7:30am), and rotating options
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call shifts
• 12-week assignment from October 19, 2026, to January 10, 2027

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Minnesota RN license or temporary permit
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 18 months’ experience in a PICU nursing role, including care for pre-operative, immediate post-operative, and trauma pediatric patients
  • OR 18 months’ pediatric CVICU experience, including competency in post-cardiac surgical and procedural care

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in critical care settings
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary health teams for seamless patient outcomes
• Maintain accountability for all aspects of professional nursing practice, including independently performed and delegated medical functions

$2,967 - $3,128/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
