Deliver specialized care in a dynamic Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting, providing high-level support for children with complex medical needs. This full-time opportunity is best suited for an RN with demonstrated PICU and ventilator experience, committed to advancing pediatric patient outcomes.

Schedule:

  • Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Full-time contract

Required Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Texas or compact state
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric ICU nursing and proficiency with ventilators
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Experience in a perinatal or recently active pediatric role highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and their families, ensuring sensitive and individualized support
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications, meticulously monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
  • Document all care, medications, and patient responses accurately and promptly
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers, tailoring information to unique needs and resources
  • Mentor and assign tasks to other care providers to ensure coordinated, quality care

Additional Role Requirements:

  • Attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of placement
  • Participate in facility’s on-boarding and annual competency verifications
  • Complete all designated competency validations specific to pediatric services
