Deliver exceptional pediatric care as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting. This contract opportunity allows you to provide critical support to young patients, working alongside a skilled and compassionate healthcare team dedicated to the highest standards of pediatric medicine.
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year experience working in a PICU or similar acute pediatric care environment
- Advanced knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols, including ventilator management, medication administration, and emergency interventions
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress, fast-paced situations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients by implementing care plans and monitoring patient progress
- Administer medications, infusions, and other prescribed treatments, consistently maintaining accurate documentation
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions as required
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to ensure a cohesive approach to patient recovery
- Educate families on pediatric health issues, treatments, and ongoing care with empathy and professionalism
- Uphold safety and infection control standards at all times
