Psych RN - Natchitoches, LA

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a behavioral health setting, utilizing your expertise as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in psychiatric nursing or as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in healthcare environments. Key Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN or LPN license
• Previous experience in psychiatric or behavioral health preferred for RN candidates
• Proficiency with patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care, implementing individualized treatment plans
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and monitor patients for behavioral or medical changes
• Administer medications and support therapeutic interventions in accordance with established protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans, and health maintenance
• Accurately document care activities, patient responses, and relevant observations
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing quality improvement
• Respond effectively to emergencies, ensuring patient safety at all times
