Psych Registered Nurse (RN) in Robeline, LA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current, valid RN license with unrestricted practice authority
• Minimum of one year experience as a Psychiatric RN (inpatient or outpatient acceptable)
• Demonstrated knowledge of psychiatric nursing procedures, crisis intervention, and care planning
• BLS certification required; CPI or equivalent crisis intervention training preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care and monitor mental health status for psychiatric patients
• Administer medications, assist with therapies, and implement individualized treatment plans
• Facilitate and document patient assessments, ongoing observations, and interventions
• Respond effectively to psychiatric emergencies and participate in crisis de-escalation
• Coordinate care alongside mental health providers, social workers, and ancillary staff
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing care
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely patient records in compliance with facility protocols

$1,688 - $1,836/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
