Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with eligibility to practice in Iowa
  • Previous experience in Rehab or Long-term Care (LTC) settings preferred
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments within 8 hours of admission
  • Strong collaborative skills and proficiency in patient/family education
  • Commitment to upholding patient and employee safety standards

Schedule/Hours:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments to formulate individualized care plans
  • Lead patient education initiatives and initiate discharge planning from admission
  • Communicate changes in patient status to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses promptly and accurately
  • Foster a positive and safe environment for patients, families, and team members
  • Participate in team conferences and contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel
  • Maintain compliance with all hospital policies on appearance, attendance, and safety
  • Assume charge duties after appropriate orientation if requested
