School RN in Camarillo, CA

Take on a role that combines your nursing expertise with the rewarding environment of a school setting. As an RN supporting students across TK-8th grade, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health and well-being of students within a district environment while working alongside other school health professionals.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general nursing services to students across multiple schools in the district
• Respond to students’ medical needs, including those with chronic conditions such as diabetes
• Deliver specialized diabetic care, including accurate carb counting for young children
• Support students with more complex medical needs, such as those requiring vent or trach care if certified or experienced
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow school nurses and educational staff
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date health records and ensure timely communication with parents or guardians
• Educate staff and students on best health practices and emergency intervention procedures

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active RN license required
• Strong recent experience in diabetic management for children, especially with carb counting
• Previous work in a school environment is highly preferred
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience or certification strongly preferred
• Bilingual capabilities strongly preferred to support diverse student populations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, educational setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
