Registered Nurse School Setting in Hampton, VA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience in a school nursing setting preferred
• Skilled in tracheostomy care and respiratory management
• Current CPR certification
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other health professionals

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration and management of chronic health conditions
• Deliver specialized care, such as tracheostomy management, for students with complex needs
• Support health education and promote safe practices across the school community
• Act as a liaison between families, school staff, and medical providers to facilitate coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and compliant health records
• Respond efficiently to health emergencies and implement care plans as required
