Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students and creating a healthy learning environment across a district. This contract position is ideal for a registered nurse with specialized experience in school settings and a passion for pediatric care.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to students from Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade
  • Deliver daily support for students with diabetes, including accurate carb counting and insulin administration for young children
  • Address various medical needs throughout the school district as assigned
  • Collaborate effectively with school nurses, educators, and families to develop care plans and ensure continuity of care
  • Respond promptly and professionally to medical emergencies, administering appropriate interventions
  • Support students with chronic health conditions; ventilator and tracheostomy care, if required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Demonstrated expertise in pediatric diabetic care—especially carb counting and clinical management for young children
  • Strongly prefer prior school nursing experience
  • Previous work with ventilation and tracheostomy care is highly desirable
  • Bilingual proficiency is a significant asset
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
