Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Qualifications

• Current RN license required
• Extensive experience in diabetic care and pediatric carb counting
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care certification or experience highly preferred
• Previous experience in a school setting highly preferred
• Bilingual skills highly preferred for working with diverse student populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with school nurses, staff, and families

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including diabetes management, medication administration, and addressing acute medical needs
• Monitor and assist students with chronic conditions such as diabetes, including monitoring blood glucose and supporting carbohydrate counting for young children
• Deliver care for students requiring ventilator or tracheostomy support, if needed
• Work with other school nurses to ensure consistent care across the district
• Educate students, teachers, and parents about health management and disease prevention when appropriate
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate student health records and documentation
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school administrators to support student well-being
