School Registered Nurse | Simi Valley, California

A healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized experience in school nursing to support TK-8 students in a district-wide setting. This contract position offers regular hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and provides the opportunity to work closely with students who have diverse medical needs.

This role focuses on supporting students with diabetes and other medical conditions, requiring a nurse with strong expertise in diabetic care, including carb counting for young children. Experience or certification in ventilation and tracheostomy (Vent and Trach) care is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have prior school nursing experience and bilingual abilities to effectively communicate in a diverse environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with school nursing experience highly preferred
• Strong proficiency in diabetic care, including carb counting for young children
• Experience or certification in ventilator and tracheostomy care preferred
• Previous school nursing experience is an asset
• Bilingual candidates are highly preferred to support a diverse student population

Responsibilities:

• Provide district-wide nursing care for TK-8 students

• Communicate directly with students, parents, and staff to ensure safe and effective care
