Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN license
- Demonstrated expertise in diabetic care, particularly carb counting for young children
- Previous experience in a school nursing environment highly preferred
- Strong collaborative skills, able to work closely with school nurses and other professionals
- Ventilator and tracheostomy experience or certification highly preferred
- Bilingual abilities highly preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver a broad range of nursing services to students across multiple school sites within the district
- Provide daily support for students with diabetes, including monitoring, medication administration, and nutritional oversight
- Assist students with additional medical needs, ensuring care plans and medication administration guidelines are followed
- Educate students, staff, and families on health protocols and chronic conditions as needed
- Maintain detailed health records and coordinate with school medical teams
- Actively communicate with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to address student needs
