Registered Nurse School Setting - Ventura, CA

Provide specialized nursing care within an educational setting, supporting students from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. This opportunity focuses on delivering essential medical services district-wide, particularly for children with diabetes and other medical needs. Collaborate closely with school nurses and staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care and support to students TK-8 across multiple school sites.
• Manage and assist with student diabetes care, including accurate carb counting tailored for young children.
• Provide care for students requiring vent and trach support; relevant experience or certification is highly desirable.
• Collaborate effectively with school nurses and educational staff to coordinate medical plans.
• Maintain detailed health records and communicate with parents and healthcare providers as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Strong experience with pediatric diabetes management.
• Previous school nursing experience is highly preferred.
• Vent and trach care experience or certification strongly preferred.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued and preferred.
