Registered Nurse School Setting - Ventura, CA

Make a meaningful impact on student health and well-being while working collaboratively in an educational environment. This contract opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, supporting transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.

Role Highlights:

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm schedule
• District-wide responsibilities spanning TK-8
• Focus on supporting students with diabetes, including carbohydrate counting for younger children
• Provide skilled nursing care for students with medical needs
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of school nurses
• Opportunity to work with students who require ventilation and tracheostomy care
• Foster health education and advocate for student wellness across the school community

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Strong experience in diabetic care and pediatric carbohydrate counting essential
• Competency with vent and trach care or current certification highly preferred
• Previous experience in a school health setting strongly desired
• Bilingual skills highly preferred to support a diverse student population
• Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Compassion for students and passion for school nursing
