Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Ada, Ohio

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Essential Qualifications:

• Current RN license, either for Ohio or through compact privileges
• Minimum one year of RN experience (two years and prior travel experience preferred)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Vent experience preferred, but not required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough initial and ongoing assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
• Float between progressive care (PCU) and medical/surgical-tele units, based on hospital needs (spending majority of time on MS/Tele)
• Administer medications per established policies and uphold top patient safety standards
• Serve as a liaison for patients, families, and care teams
• Respond rapidly and confidently to changes in patient condition using evidence-based judgment
• Advance safe discharge planning, patient education, and documentation
• Promote a compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
