Stepdown Registered Nurses are sought to provide essential care to patients transitioning from critical to stable conditions. This contract opportunity allows you to demonstrate clinical expertise while working collaboratively within a supportive healthcare environment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Stepdown, Progressive Care, or similar intermediate care unit
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Familiarity with EHR systems and current best practices in patient care
• Ability to provide emotional support to patients and families during recovery

Core Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients requiring frequent vigilance following stabilization from critical care
• Administer medications, monitor IV infusions, and manage complex equipment
• Interpret and communicate vital information to physicians and the care team
• Provide comprehensive care, including post-procedure or post-surgical care and advanced patient education
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, utilizing advanced assessment and intervention skills
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to coordinate treatment plans
• Ensure meticulous documentation and compliance with facility policies and safety standards
