Step into an engaging nursing opportunity supporting a progressive care environment within a float pool setting, delivering acute-level care to a diverse cardiac patient population. This contract role requires providing care across all PCU/IMCU floors with a strong cardiac focus, managing complex conditions and therapies with confidence and a commitment to patient safety.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible shifts (contract assignment)
  • Minimal Requested Time Off (RTO)

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current, unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similarly sized acute care facility
  • Prior experience with cardiac populations: STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiac surgery (CTS), chest pain (C/P)
  • Competency with cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine, Pressors)
  • Proven history working in a float pool or with progressive care/stepdown units
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS, both current
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
  • Skilled in adapting to a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Comfortable working with patients from higher-acuity to lower-acuity telemetry beds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and coordinate top-tier care to patients in progressive care and telemetry settings
  • Float as needed to all PCU/IMCU units, adapting quickly to the needs of cardiac patients
  • Monitor and titrate complex cardiac drips while ensuring safety and quality benchmarks
  • Collaborate professionally with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Accurately document patient assessments and interventions in the EPIC system
  • Adjust patient care interventions to meet fluctuating acuity levels across units
