Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Atlanta, GA

Expand your clinical expertise as you care for patients with complex conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, T2DM, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. Work with a patient ratio of 1:4, gaining valuable experience in a high-acuity setting and enhancing your resumé for future opportunities.

Schedule/Hours:

• 36 or 48-hour contracts available
• RN Medical Step Down Unit, 16-20 bed unit

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in stepdown or progressive care (PCU)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Skilled in managing complex patients and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown-level patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient symptoms and progress
• Administer medications and interventions according to established protocols
• Respond to changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
