Travel Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Atlanta, GA

This role places you in a 16–20-bed unit caring for patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, substance abuse disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible contracts available: 36 or 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a patient load with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Deliver specialized care to medically complex individuals in a stepdown setting
• Observe and rapidly respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent stepdown or critical care experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
