PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Ayden, North Carolina

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Proven expertise in stepdown nursing environments
• Strong assessment, monitoring, and intervention skills for patients requiring higher acuity care
• Exceptional communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to changing patient statuses
• BLS and ACLS certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients, closely monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in condition
• Implement and assess individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and allied professionals
• Administer medications, perform interventions, and document care accurately in electronic health records
• Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and discharge planning
• Support safe transitions of care and advocate for optimal patient outcomes
