Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Stepdown or Progressive Care experience required
  • Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) certifications
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in patient monitoring, medication administration, and care plan implementation
  • Team-oriented approach and effective communication abilities
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care for Stepdown patients, monitoring changes in acuity and reporting promptly
  • Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and ensure all interventions are accurately charted
  • Provide comprehensive patient and family education on treatments, post-care, and discharge procedures
  • Maintain patient safety standards and adhere strictly to facility protocols and policies
