Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) - Bessemer City, NC

Schedule/Hours:

• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays required
• Schedule cycles every 6 weeks
• Low census call possible; flexible return to duty times
• Approved requests off: Up to 6 days (not including holidays, subject to completion of contracted hours)

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license (NC or compact state)
• Minimum of 18 months recent PCU/stepdown RN experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
• Tracheostomy care, cardiac gtt titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube management, blood product administration, complex wound care, central line management experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for a variety of stepdown patients (CHF, dysrhythmia, stroke, diabetes, etc.)
• Maintain accurate bedside and nurses’ station telemetry monitoring
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, and the IV/RT teams
• Float within designated regional facilities as needed (paid for in-shift travel)
• Document care within the EPIC EMR
