Schedule:

• Shifts and hours: Rotating weekends (every other), holiday rotations (75% holiday work)
• Possibility of low census call (with late callbacks)
• Schedule cycles span every 6 weeks
• Orientation includes 2 days at the unit

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license
• Minimum 18 months PCU RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with tracheostomies, cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, wound care, central lines
• Open to both experienced and first-time travelers

Essential Responsibilities:

• Care for high-acuity med-surg and stepdown patients
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (including CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy)
• Float between regional facilities as patient needs demand (paid for travel time between sites)
• Utilize advanced EMR (EPIC), IV pumps (Alaris), and other specialized equipment
