Take on a critical role caring for patients in a dynamic Stepdown environment. This position is perfect for professionals skilled in RN-Stepdown nursing, eager to make an impact on Unit 4 North for a contract assignment. Schedule/Hours

  • Night shifts
  • 36 hours per week, 3x12-hour shifts
  • 13–16 week assignment
  • Every other weekend required
  • Three holidays required (from: 11/27, 11/28, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, 1/1)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown RN experience
  • Previous travel assignment experience required
  • Proficient in Cerner electronic medical records
  • Active AL or multistate compact RN license (pending applications not accepted)
  • Flexible and collaborative—while every effort is made to accommodate preferences, holiday scheduling constraints apply

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive care to Stepdown unit patients through monitoring, assessment, and intervention
  • Utilize Cerner EMR efficiently for documentation and care planning
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes
  • Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate as appropriate
  • Engage with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout hospitalization
