This opportunity is designed for experienced RNs specializing in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing, seeking a challenging and rewarding contract role. The position requires dedication to providing high-quality patient care during the 12-hour night shifts, supporting a diverse patient population requiring close monitoring and intervention.

Location Overview: Situated in Bonaire, Georgia, this location offers a welcoming community feel with access to local amenities, parks, and excellent southern hospitality. The region combines small-town charm with convenient access to larger metropolitan areas, providing a balanced lifestyle for working professionals.

Shift & Schedule:

  • 12-hour Night Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation: 6 shifts every 6 weeks
  • Holiday work commitment: Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays
  • Floating requirements: 6 shifts out of every 12 shifts in a 6-week period
  • No on-call or call-back duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess patients requiring stepdown or progressive care
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Document patient progress and communicate changes in condition promptly
  • Respond to emergency situations efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with experience in Stepdown or PCU nursing
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to adhere to floating and holiday schedule requirements
  • Completion of SimpliFi clinical interview with manager
