Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-week travel assignment
  • Opportunities for both day and night shifts, with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 (days) and 1:5 (nights)

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (state or compact)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/IMCU experience required
  • Prior travel nurse experience required
  • Proficient with ventilators (IMC level care)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
  • Success on facility dysrhythmia exam (study guide provided)
  • Epic EHR familiarity preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough assessments and design individualized care plans for a diverse patient population (cardiac, neuro, respiratory, renal, and more)
  • Safely manage non-titratable and select titratable drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin)
  • Care for patients with BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen modalities, or occasional vents (education provided as needed)
  • Participate in care coordination and act as a liaison with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families
  • Advocate for patients through acute episodes and collaborate with support resources
  • Contribute to quality improvement and promote patient safety throughout your assignment
