Stepdown Registered Nurse - Cedartown, Georgia

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Proficient with telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac life support protocols
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage rapidly changing patient conditions

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to acutely ill patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments
• Interpret and respond to changes in patient condition, adjusting care plans appropriately
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions according to clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care
• Document all patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care plans
• Uphold infection prevention and patient safety standards at all times
