Travel PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Cherryville, North Carolina

Schedule:

• Rotating weekends: every other weekend
• Call: Potential for low census call (with clear callback protocols)
• Holiday coverage: 75% of major holidays
• Six-week schedule cycles
• Opportunity for up to six days off, with contract extension for missed hours

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license and 18+ months progressive care/stepdown experience
• Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Proven skills in: tracheostomy care, cardiac drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube management, blood product administration, wound and dressing changes, central line care
• Flexibility to float between facilities within the region as required
• Strong communication, adaptability, and a collaborative approach

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with a range of diagnoses: CHF, chest pain, stroke, diabetes, respiratory illness, renal issues, and more
• Maintain a safe patient ratio typically 1:4 (occasionally 1:5 based on acuity)
• Use EPIC for documentation; manage infusions with Alaris pumps; dispense medications via Omnicell
• Participate actively in a support-rich environment with CNAs, dedicated IV/Phlebotomy teams, RT, and 24/7 hospitalist/intensivist coverage
• Float as needed within the regional network (paid for travel between locations during shift)
