Travel Stepdown RN - Cherryville, NC

Schedule:

• 36 hours/week
• Weekend rotation: every other
• Possibility of low census call (with specific call-back windows)
• Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 18 months of PCU/Stepdown RN experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, tracheostomy care, cardiac drips, wound care, central line management, chest tubes, and blood product administration
• Comfortable floating within regional hospitals (must be agreeable to floating as needed)

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive stepdown-level nursing care for a wide range of conditions – cardiac, neuro, respiratory, infectious, and more
• Independently interpret cardiac rhythms and administer cardiac medications
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, and IV teams
• Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell meds, and Phillips monitors
• Perform essential nursing procedures, including dressing changes and central line management
• Float between regionally-associated facilities as needed for optimal patient care coverage
