Travel PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) | Cherryville, North Carolina

This role offers ample exposure to advanced technologies (EPIC EMR, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors), and involvement in collaborative care with 24/7 support by hospitalists, intensivists, and an RT team. Schedule:

• Weekend rotation: Every other
• Possibility of low census call
• 75% holiday participation expected
• Up to 6 days off approved (excluding holidays; time extends contract if needed)
• 6-week scheduling cycles

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license
• At least 18 months of recent PCU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with trachs, cardiac gtt, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care, central line care
• Will consider first-time travelers eager to grow professionally

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for progressive care/stepdown patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and utilize advanced monitoring
• Mentor and support CNAs and assist with daily ADLs
• Perform dressing changes, central line management, and cardiac monitoring
• Float between regional facilities as needed, always within your scope
